Sea Pickle

The Sea Pickle is a light-emitting plant found in warm ocean biomes. It is commonly used for underwater lighting, decoration, and composting. A Sea Pickle emits a light level of 6 per pickle, with a maximum of 4 per block, reaching a total light level of 15 when grouped.

Sea Pickles generate naturally in warm oceans, often growing on coral blocks in coral reefs. They can also be obtained by using Bone Meal on coral blocks underwater, which spreads them. Players can break them instantly by hand or with any tool, and they drop themselves when collected.

Sea Pickles can be placed both on land and underwater, but they only emit light when submerged. They are commonly used in aquariums, ocean builds, and underwater pathways for visibility. Sea Pickles can also be used in composters, with a 65% chance of increasing the compost level. A Sea Pickle can be farmed using Bone Meal in warm ocean biomes, making it a renewable light source. Unlike Lanterns, they do not function outside of water, but they are essential for natural underwater illumination and coral reef ecosystems.
