Rail
The Rail is a transportation block used to move Minecarts along a track. It allows players to create railway systems for travel, automation, and Redstone-based contraptions. A Rail is crafted using 6 Iron Ingots and 1 Stick in a 3×3 crafting grid. It also generates naturally in Mineshafts, Strongholds, Igloos with basements, and Woodland Mansions.
To use a Rail, the player must place it on a solid block. Minecarts can travel along Rails in the direction they are placed. Rails automatically connect to adjacent Rails, forming curved tracks when necessary. Players and mobs can enter a Minecart on a Rail and move by pushing forward or using Powered Rails for automated movement. A Rail can be broken with any tool, but pickaxes break it the fastest.
