Dark Oak Sapling

Dark oak saplings are tree saplings obtained by breaking or letting dark oak leaves decay. They have a 5% drop chance, and using a tool enchanted with Fortune increases the drop rate.

Dark oak saplings must be planted in a 2x2 formation (four saplings placed together) to grow into a dark oak tree. A single sapling will not grow on its own. The tree requires adequate space and light to generate successfully, and applying bone meal speeds up its growth.

Dark oak trees are a valuable source of dark oak logs, which have a rich brown color used for building and crafting. They are naturally found in dark forest biomes and grow with a thick trunk, providing a high wood yield. Due to their growth requirement of four saplings, maintaining a sustainable dark oak tree farm requires careful sapling collection and replanting.
