Cleric

The Cleric is a villager profession in Minecraft that specializes in trading potion-related items and valuable resources. It uses the Brewing Stand as its job site block, which allows unemployed villagers to take on the profession when placed nearby.

Trades include redstone, lapis lazuli, glowstone, and ender pearls, making them a useful source of potion ingredients and rare materials. At higher levels, Clerics offer bottles of enchanting, which provide experience when used.

They progress through five levels—Novice, Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert, and Master—unlocking better trades as they gain experience. They can be leveled up by trading emeralds, rotten flesh, gold ingots, rabbit’s feet, and nether wart.

Clerics can be zombified and cured to reduce trade costs, making them useful in trading halls. They spawn naturally in villages but can also be assigned the profession by placing a Brewing Stand near an unemployed villager.
