Furnace

The Furnace is a utility block used for smelting ores, cooking food, and other heat-based processes in Minecraft. It is an essential block for progression and resource management. A Furnace is crafted using 8 Cobblestone in a 3×3 crafting grid, leaving the center slot empty. It can also be found naturally in villages, igloos, trail ruins, ancient cities, and some ruined houses in abandoned villages.

To use a Furnace, the player must tap on it to open the interface. The top slot is for the item to be smelted or cooked, the bottom slot is for fuel, and the right slot outputs the finished item. The Furnace accepts various fuel sources, including coal, charcoal, wood, lava buckets, and other burnable items. A Furnace can be mined with any tool, but pickaxes break it the fastest.
