Grindstone

The Grindstone is a utility block used to repair items, remove enchantments, and disenchant enchanted books in Minecraft. It is also the job site block for weaponsmith villagers in villages. A Grindstone is crafted using 2 Sticks, 2 Planks of any type, and 1 Stone Slab in a 3×3 crafting grid. It also generates naturally in weaponsmith houses within villages.

To use a Grindstone, the player must tap on it to open the interface. Placing two damaged items of the same type in the input slots will combine their durability, with a small bonus. The Grindstone does not require experience levels for repairs and does not preserve enchantments when repairing items. A Grindstone can also be used to remove enchantments from items and disenchant enchanted books, returning the item to its unenchanted state. This process grants a small amount of experience based on the enchantment levels removed.

A Grindstone can be mined with any tool, but pickaxes break it the fastest.
