Decorated Pot

Decorated Pot is a storage and decorative block crafted from bricks and/or pottery sherds, with each side displaying the design of the materials used. It can store one inventory slot’s worth of items, but the stored items cannot be accessed manually—only by breaking the pot.

A decorated pot can be mined instantly with any tool. If broken without Silk Touch, it drops the four bricks or pottery sherds used in crafting. If broken with Silk Touch or by a piston, it drops itself. It also shatters when hit by certain projectiles, such as arrows or tridents, or when a player collides with it while flying with an Elytra.

Natural decorated pots generate in trial chambers and may contain loot. Crafted pots without sherds serve as lightweight temporary blocks, stacking up to 64 and breaking instantly by hand. They can also act as compact brick storage.

Decorated pots can store up to one stack of a single item type, with unstackable items filling them instantly. Unlike traditional containers, they lack a GUI; items are inserted via interaction, droppers, or hoppers and retrieved only by breaking the pot. A redstone comparator can measure stored items.
