Deepslate Coal Ore

Deepslate Coal Ore is a rare variant of coal ore that generates at the top of the deepslate layer. It can be mined with any pickaxe enchanted with Silk Touch to obtain the block itself. Without Silk Touch, it drops 1 coal (or up to 4 coal with Fortune III) and 0–2 experience points. The Fortune enchantment increases the number of coal drops but does not affect experience gain.

Deepslate Coal Ore is harder to find than regular coal ore because coal rarely generates below Y=8, where deepslate begins. When smelted, it produces 1 coal, and placing it under a note block produces a 'bass drum' sound.
