Farmland

Farmland is a block created by tilling Dirt, Grass, or Dirt Path with a hoe and is essential for growing crops.

Farmland is naturally generated in villages and some woodland mansion rooms. It can be hydrated by having water within four blocks horizontally or one block above it, increasing crop growth speed. If left dry and unplanted, Farmland reverts to Dirt over time. Jumping or falling on Farmland, placing a solid block on top, or pushing it with a piston also turns it back into Dirt. Farmland cannot be obtained in Survival mode without commands.
