Flowering Azalea

Flowering azaleas are a variant of azaleas that count as flowers for all purposes, including pollination by bees, except for crafting dyes. Flowering azaleas can be broken instantly with any tool or by hand, and they break when pushed by pistons or when water flows into them. They naturally generate on top of moss in lush caves. Bone meal applied to moss blocks has a 5% chance to grow a flowering azalea in a 3×3 to 7×7 area.

Flowering azaleas can be placed on blocks like grass, dirt, and moss, and are useful for bee interactions. They have an 85% chance to increase the compost level when placed in a composter and can be used as fuel in furnaces. To grow an azalea tree, bone meal must be applied, with a 45% chance of success if the area is clear. Flowering azaleas also have a 5% chance to spawn a bee nest when oak, birch, or cherry trees grow near them.
