Grass Block

Grass Block is a natural terrain block that generates abundantly across the Overworld.

Grass Blocks can be obtained by mining them with a Silk Touch-enchanted tool; otherwise, they drop Dirt. They can also be obtained from Endermen holding them upon death. Grass Blocks spread to adjacent Dirt blocks under the right lighting conditions. They serve as the base for most biomes and change color depending on their biome. Grass Blocks are used for natural aesthetics, animal spawning, and can be transformed into Farmland, Dirt Paths, or Compost.
