Hanging Roots are a decorative block found naturally in lush caves beneath azalea trees. They can be instantly broken with any tool or by hand but can only be collected using shears or a Silk Touch-enchanted tool in Bedrock Edition.
These roots are primarily decorative, as they can only be placed on the underside of a block. When bone meal is used on rooted dirt, hanging roots can grow beneath it. Additionally, hanging roots can be obtained by using a hoe on rooted dirt, which turns it into regular dirt. When placed in a composter, they have a 30% chance of increasing the compost level by 1.
