Packed Ice

Packed Ice is a solid, opaque variant of Ice that does not melt near light sources. It generates naturally in ice spikes biomes, frozen oceans, and villages in snowy plains. It can be obtained with a Silk Touch pickaxe; otherwise, it drops nothing.

Packed Ice is slippery, allowing entities to slide, and is commonly used for fast item transportation or boat highways. It can be crafted into Blue Ice but cannot be reverted to Ice. Mobs can spawn on it, making it useful for compact mob farms.
