Petrified Oak Slab

Petrified Oak Slab is a unique type of slab that resembles a wooden slab but has the properties of stone. It is unobtainable in Survival mode and can only be acquired through commands.

Petrified oak slabs require a pickaxe to be mined, unlike regular wooden slabs. If mined without a pickaxe, they drop nothing. They are also fireproof, making them more resistant than normal wooden slabs. Additionally, they cannot be used as fuel in a furnace and have a higher blast resistance.

Due to their stone-like properties, petrified oak slabs produce bass drum sounds when placed under note blocks. They are a legacy block from earlier versions of the game, where they were originally the only wooden slab variant before being replaced by true wooden slabs.
