Purple Glazed Terracotta
Purple Glazed Terracotta is a decorative block with a bold, symmetrical pattern in purple, pink, and white hues. Its design resembles a four-pointed star or a sword hilt, making it a striking option for patterned floors or mystical-themed builds. It is obtained by smelting Purple Stained Terracotta in a furnace, which is crafted by combining regular terracotta with purple dye.
When placed, the block’s texture aligns based on the direction the player is facing, allowing for seamless and intricate designs when arranged in 2×2 or larger groupings. This orientation-dependent behavior makes it ideal for custom mosaics and arrow-like path markers.
Purple glazed terracotta does not adhere to slime or honey blocks, and while it can be pushed by pistons, it cannot be pulled by sticky pistons. This property makes it useful in technical redstone builds where selective movement is important.
When placed beneath a note block, it produces a bass drum sound. In addition, expert-level mason villagers may offer purple glazed terracotta as a trade, giving players another method of acquisition beyond crafting.
