Smooth Basalt

Smooth Basalt is a decorative variant of basalt, obtained by smelting basalt in a furnace. It also naturally generates as the outer layer of amethyst geodes and in ancient cities. It has the same hardness as regular basalt but does not serve as a crafting ingredient for other blocks. It is primarily used for ornamental purposes.
