Gray Candle

The Gray Candle is a light-emitting block used for decorative lighting and atmospheric builds. A single Gray Candle emits a light level of 3, but up to four Candles can be placed in one block space, increasing the light level up to 12. A Gray Candle is crafted using 1 Candle and 1 Gray Dye in a 3×3 crafting grid. It can also be obtained by placing an undyed Candle and dyeing it with Gray Dye. Like all candles, it does not generate naturally and must be crafted by the player.

A Gray Candle must be lit using Flint and Steel or Fire Charges and will remain lit until broken or extinguished by water. It can be placed on solid blocks and on top of uneaten cakes, making it useful for birthday cakes and celebrations. Unlike Lanterns or Torches, Gray Candles do not emit a high light level and are mainly used for ambient lighting rather than mob-proofing.

A Gray Candle can be mined instantly by hand or with any tool. Unlike Glowstone or Lanterns, a Gray Candle provides customizable and aesthetic lighting rather than practical illumination, making it ideal for detailed interior and exterior decoration.
