Sea Lantern

The Sea Lantern is a light-emitting block that provides a bright, water-friendly light source. It emits a light level of 15, making it one of the brightest blocks in Minecraft. It is commonly used for underwater lighting, ocean-themed builds, and Redstone contraptions. A Sea Lantern is crafted using 4 Prismarine Shards and 5 Prismarine Crystals in a 3×3 crafting grid. It also generates naturally in Ocean Monuments, where it serves as a primary light source within the structure.

A Sea Lantern can be placed both on land and underwater, making it a popular aquatic lighting option. Unlike Torches or Lanterns, it does not break when submerged, making it ideal for underwater bases, pools, and aquariums. It also plays a role in conduit power setups, which enhance underwater exploration.

A Sea Lantern can be mined with any tool, but Silk Touch is required to collect it as a full block. Without Silk Touch, it drops Prismarine Crystals, requiring additional materials to craft back into a Sea Lantern. Unlike Glowstone, it does not require Redstone or crafting adjustments, making it a stable and efficient light source.
