Cactus Flowers are decorative plants that generate naturally on top of cacti in deserts and badlands. A cactus has a 25% chance to generate with a cactus flower on top, though flowers can also grow post-generation if the cactus has space around it. Once a cactus has a flower, it stops growing further.
Cactus flowers can be broken instantly and always drop themselves when mined. They can be placed on cactus blocks, farmland, or other blocks with center support, but cannot be placed in flower pots. When used in a crafting recipe, they produce pink dye.
Bees are attracted to cactus flowers, can be bred with them, and baby bees grow faster when fed cactus flowers. However, bees may be injured if the flower is placed on a cactus due to cactus damage during pollination. Cactus flowers can also be composted with a 30% chance to raise the compost level by 1.
