Creaking Heart

Creaking Heart is a living block found inside pale oak trees in the Pale Garden biome or crafted using pale oak logs and a block of resin. It activates when placed between two pale oak logs and, during nighttime or thunderstorms, spawns a creaking that it protects from all damage.

Breaking an active Creaking Heart instantly kills its linked creaking. If the protected creaking is attacked, resin clumps grow near the heart. The heart can only be collected with Silk Touch; otherwise, it drops 1-3 resin clumps, with Fortune increasing the drop rate.

Creaking Hearts emit eerie sounds when surrounded by logs and can output a redstone signal when linked to a creaking. Their signal strength depends on the distance between them and their linked creaking. They cannot spawn creakings in the Nether or the End and do not function outside the simulation distance of players.
