Dead Brain Coral Block

Dead Brain Coral Block is the lifeless variant of the vibrant brain coral block, featuring a muted gray version of its once-pink texture. It is obtained either by mining a live brain coral block without Silk Touch, or by placing one outside of water, causing it to dry out after a few seconds.

Like all dead coral blocks, it is purely decorative and cannot be revived once dried. It can be mined with any pickaxe, always dropping itself, and is commonly used for aesthetic builds that benefit from neutral or weathered tones—such as ruins, deep-sea wreckage, or wasteland designs. Dead brain coral blocks also emit a 'bass drum' sound when placed beneath a note block, adding a subtle percussive option to redstone music builds.
