End Portal Frame
End Portal Frame is an indestructible block used to form the End Portal. It naturally generates in stronghold portal rooms, arranged in a 5×5 square with 12 frames surrounding an empty center. Each frame has a 10% chance to contain an Eye of Ender, and inserting eyes into all frames activates the portal, creating a gateway to the End.
End Portal Frames emit a light level of 1 and can output a redstone signal of 15 if they contain an Eye of Ender. They cannot be moved by pistons or destroyed in Survival mode. When placed under a note block, they produce a bass drum sound.
Each world in Java Edition generates 128 strongholds, containing a total of 1,536 End Portal Frames. In Bedrock Edition, strongholds are unlimited, meaning an infinite number of End Portal Frames can exist.
