Jack o'Lantern

A Jack o'Lantern is a solid light-emitting block that provides a high light level and can be used to build golems. It is crafted by combining a Carved Pumpkin with a Torch and does not generate naturally in most biomes, except in taiga and snowy taiga villages in Bedrock Edition.

Jack o’lanterns emit a light level of 15, making them brighter than torches. They can be placed underwater without losing their brightness and will melt nearby snow and ice. Unlike regular pumpkins, they can be placed without support and automatically face the player when placed.

Jack o’lanterns are required to build Snow Golems and Iron Golems, just like carved pumpkins. The jack o’lantern must be placed last when constructing a golem, or it will not spawn. Although jack o’lanterns appear transparent, they behave as solid blocks—mobs can spawn on them, and they can be used to attach blocks like rails and torches.
