Tall Grass
A Tall Grass is a two-block-high variant of Short Grass that naturally generates in plains, savannas, cherry groves, meadows, pale gardens, and lush caves. It is more common than short grass, with approximately 8.6 per chunk in grassy biomes.
Tall grass cannot be obtained in Survival Mode but can be found as chest loot in savanna village houses with a 45.9% chance. Breaking it normally has a 12.5% chance to drop wheat seeds, with the Fortune enchantment increasing the number of seeds. Using shears on tall grass drops two units of short grass instead.
In Java Edition, using bone meal on a grass block or moss block can generate tall grass. Bone meal can also be used on short grass to transform it into tall grass. Tall grass can be composted with a 50% chance of increasing the compost level. Like other two-block tall plants, it has a larger hitbox than most plants, except for tall seagrass.
