Poppy
Poppy is a red flower that naturally generates in many biomes and can be used to craft red dye. Poppy can be mined instantly with any tool and drops itself when broken. It generates in plains, savannas, forests, jungles, meadows, and other grassy biomes. In Java Edition, applying bone meal to a grass block in these biomes has a chance to generate Poppy. In Bedrock Edition, bone meal can generate it in any biome except swamps, dark forests, and certain birch forests.
Poppy can be used to craft Suspicious Stew, which grants a Night Vision effect when consumed. It can also be placed in flower pots for decoration. Bees pollinate Poppy, increasing the honey level in beehives and nests. Additionally, oak, birch, and cherry trees grown near Poppy have a 5% chance to spawn with a bee nest containing bees.
Poppy can be composted with a 65% chance to increase the compost level. It can also be found in plains village chests with a 12.1% chance and is sometimes sold by wandering traders for one emerald. Iron Golems drop 0–2 Poppy when killed.
