Glow Squid

Glow Squid is a passive aquatic mob found in dark underwater areas, such as ocean depths, ravines, and underground lakes. It is a variant of the squid, distinguished by its aqua luminescent texture, which makes it glow in the dark. Glow Squid drops 1–3 glow ink sacs when killed, which can be increased with the Looting enchantment. It also drops 1–3 experience when killed by a player or tamed wolf.

Glow Squid cannot be bred and does not produce additional resources beyond its glow ink sacs. It spawns in low-light underwater areas and is typically found in groups of 2–4. Glow Squid is a passive mob and does not attack players. It swims randomly and sprays glowing ink particles when attacked, temporarily obscuring visibility. Despite its glowing appearance, Glow Squid does not emit actual light, making it purely decorative. The glow ink sacs it drops can be used to craft glowing item frames and apply glow effects to text on signs.
