Totem of Undying
The Totem of Undying is a rare item that prevents death when held in the player's main hand or off-hand. It is obtained exclusively from Evokers, powerful Illager mobs found in woodland mansions and raid waves. When a player takes fatal damage while holding the totem, it is consumed and grants Regeneration II, Absorption II, and Fire Resistance I for a few seconds, allowing them to survive what would have been a lethal hit.
The Totem of Undying only works if it is actively held when taking fatal damage, making it an essential item for high-risk situations such as fighting the Ender Dragon, Wither, or raid mobs. It does not protect players from the /kill command or void damage in the End. Due to its life-saving ability, the Totem of Undying is one of the most valuable survival tools in Minecraft, particularly in hardcore mode where death is permanent.
