Bamboo Raft
Bamboo Raft is a boat variant crafted from bamboo, introduced as a visual alternative to standard wooden boats. While it looks different—featuring a flat surface and bamboo-bound logs—it functions identically to any other boat in Minecraft.
Crafted using 5 bamboo planks arranged in a “U” shape, a bamboo raft can also be combined with a chest to create a Bamboo Raft with Chest for mobile storage. Like boats, it can carry up to two passengers, including players or mobs, making it a practical choice for travel and mob transport.
Bamboo rafts glide smoothly across water, can be used in ice highways for high-speed travel, and negate fall damage when ridden. They’re immune to lava and fire damage but will break upon contact. As with all boats, they are best mined with an axe and can also serve as fuel in furnaces. While purely aesthetic, the bamboo raft adds a unique visual flair to jungle-themed builds or tropical adventures.
