Mangrove Propagule

Mangrove propagules are sapling-like items obtained from mangrove leaves in mangrove swamp biomes. Unlike other tree saplings, propagules naturally grow while attached to leaves and can be harvested when fully matured. They can also be obtained by breaking mangrove leaves, with an increased drop rate when using a tool enchanted with Fortune.

Mangrove propagules can be planted on mud, dirt, grass, sand, clay, or moss blocks and will grow into a mangrove tree when exposed to sufficient light. Applying bone meal speeds up their growth. Mangrove trees are unique in that they generate above-ground roots, making them different from other tree types.

Mangrove trees provide mangrove logs, which have a deep red wood color, making them useful for unique building styles. Due to their natural growth method and swampy biome location, mangrove propagules are a distinct and renewable resource for tree farming.
