Hoglin

Hoglin is a breedable hostile mob found in the Nether, specifically in crimson forests. It is a primary source of porkchops and leather in the Nether. Hoglins attack by thrusting their tusks upward, dealing knockback and occasionally launching their target slightly into the air.

Hoglins drop 2–4 raw porkchops and 0–1 leather upon death, with the Looting enchantment increasing the drop amounts. If killed by a player, they drop 5 experience. Hoglins can be bred using crimson fungi. After breeding, the parents have a 5-minute cooldown before they can breed again. Baby hoglins take 20 minutes to mature, but their growth can be sped up by feeding them crimson fungi.

Hoglins are hostile mobs that attack players on sight. They often spawn in herds of 3–4 and can respawn over time. They are repelled by warped fungi, active Nether portals, and respawn anchors, making these useful for keeping them away. Baby hoglins have the weakest attack in the game, deal minimal knockback, and flee when attacked, making them less of a threat.
