Glow Squid

Glow Squid is a passive aquatic mob found in dark underwater areas, such as ocean depths, ravines, and underground lakes. It is a variant of the squid, distinguished by its aqua luminescent texture, which makes it glow in the dark. Glow Squids drop 1–3 glow ink sacs when killed, which can be increased with the Looting enchantment. They also drop 1–3 experience when killed by a player or tamed wolf.

Glow Squids cannot be bred and do not produce additional resources beyond their glow ink sacs. They spawn in low-light underwater areas and are typically found in groups of 2–4. Glow Squids are passive mobs and do not attack players. They swim randomly and spray glowing ink particles when attacked, temporarily obscuring visibility. Despite their glowing appearance, Glow Squids do not emit actual light, making them purely decorative. The glow ink sacs they drop can be used to craft glowing item frames and apply glow effects to text on signs.
