Rabbit

Rabbit is an uncommon passive mob in Minecraft that spawns in deserts, taigas, snowy biomes, and flower forests. It is a small, fast-moving animal that serves as a source of rabbit's foot, rabbit hide, and raw rabbit. Rabbits drop 0–1 rabbit hide, 1 raw rabbit (or cooked rabbit if killed with fire), and have a 10%–19% chance to drop a rabbit's foot. They also drop 1–3 experience when killed by a player.

Rabbits can be bred using carrots, golden carrots, or dandelions. When two adult rabbits are fed one of these items, they enter "love mode" and produce a baby rabbit. Baby rabbits take 20 minutes to grow into adults, but this time can be reduced by feeding them more carrots, golden carrots, or dandelions. Upon successful breeding, 1–7 experience is dropped.

Rabbits move quickly and jump frequently, making them difficult to catch. They tend to avoid players unless holding a breeding item. In snowy biomes, rabbits spawn with white fur, while in deserts, they spawn with a sandy coat. Rabbits can be attached to a lead, allowing players to transport them for farming or pet purposes.

Rabbits can also eat fully grown carrot crops, making them a potential threat to farms if left unchecked. If a rabbit is named "Toast " (using either a name tag or a renamed spawn egg), its texture changes to a black dutch rabbit, featuring a large black and white patch with more black fur around the face. Other than its unique appearance, Toast behaves exactly like a normal rabbit. This Easter egg was added in honor of a missing real-life rabbit named Toast.
