Sheep
Sheep is a common passive mob in Minecraft that supplies wool and raw mutton and is found in most grassy biomes. Sheep drop 1–3 raw mutton (or cooked mutton if killed with fire) and 1–3 experience upon death. When sheared, they drop 1–3 wool without taking damage. The amount of wool dropped is not affected by Fortune or Looting.
Sheep can be bred using wheat. When two adult sheep are fed wheat, they enter "love mode" and produce a baby sheep. Baby sheep take 20 minutes to grow into adults but can grow faster when fed wheat. Sheep cannot breed again for five minutes after producing a baby.
Sheep's wool can be dyed by using any dye on them. Dyed sheep pass their wool color to their offspring, allowing for color customization in wool farms. Sheeps wander randomly, often in groups, and eat grass blocks, which allows them to regrow their wool after being sheared. Sheep can be led using leads.
There are also special Easter eggs related to sheep. If an Evoker is nearby and not engaged in combat while mobGriefing is set to true, it can change the wool color of any blue sheep within 16 blocks to red, accompanied by a "wololo " sound and orange particles. This references the priest unit in Age of Empires (1997). Additionally, a sheep named "jeb_ " will have a rainbow wool effect, cycling through all dye colors.
