Cartographer House

Cartographer House

Cartographer House is a village building that generates in most village biomes in both Java Edition and Bedrock Edition. It is the workplace for the cartographer villager, who uses a cartography table as their job site block. The structure and materials of the house vary based on the biome's village style.

All cartographer houses contain a loot chest, except those found in desert villages. The chest can include items such as paper, bread, empty maps or regular maps, bundles, sticks, compasses, and occasionally oak saplings. Paper and bread are the most commonly found items, while compasses and bundles are less frequent.

Cartographer houses typically include a cartography table, a bed, and storage or work areas. These buildings support map-related trades and may allow players to purchase exploration maps from the resident cartographer.
