Soul Campfire
The Soul Campfire is a variant of the Campfire that emits a blue flame and has special properties related to mobs and light levels. It functions similarly to a regular Campfire but produces less light and repels Piglins.
A Soul Campfire is crafted using 3 Logs, Wood, or Stripped Wood, 3 Sticks, and 1 Soul Sand or Soul Soil in a 3×3 crafting grid. It does not generate naturally and must be crafted by the player. Like a regular Campfire, a Soul Campfire can cook up to four raw food items at once, taking 30 seconds per item. It does not require fuel and can be used indefinitely for cooking.
A Soul Campfire produces blue smoke particles that rise up to 10 blocks. Placing a Hay Bale underneath increases the smoke height to 25 blocks, making it useful as a signal. It also prevents Piglins from approaching within an 8-block radius, making it useful for protection in the Nether. A Soul Campfire emits a lower light level of 10, compared to the 15 of a regular Campfire. Like other Soul Fire sources, it does not melt ice or snow. It can also be used to safely harvest honey from Beehives or Bee Nests without angering bees when placed underneath.
A Soul Campfire can be extinguished using a shovel, water, splash water bottle, or by placing a waterlogged block on it. It can be relit using flint and steel or a fire charge. A Soul Campfire can be mined with any tool, but axes break it the fastest.
