Dirt

Dirt is a common block found abundantly in most Overworld biomes, typically beneath a layer of Grass Blocks.

Dirt is primarily used for farming, as it supports the growth of saplings, sugar cane, mushrooms, sweet berries, and bamboo. It can be tilled into Farmland using a hoe, allowing crops like wheat, potatoes, and carrots to be planted. Dirt can also be turned into a Dirt Path with a shovel or converted into Mud using a water bottle. When exposed to sufficient light, Dirt can transform into a Grass Block or Mycelium if adjacent to one. Dirt is renewable through various methods, including coarse dirt tilling and moss farming.
