Orange Concrete Powder

Orange Concrete Powder is a vibrant, gravity-affected building block used to create orange concrete when exposed to water. It is one of the sixteen colored variants of concrete powder and is commonly used in creative builds for its bright, saturated tone.

To craft orange concrete powder, combine 4 sand, 4 gravel, and 1 orange dye in any arrangement in a crafting grid. This shapeless recipe produces 8 orange concrete powder blocks. All the ingredients are renewable, although sand is difficult to renew in large quantities without the help of a wandering trader or special farms.

Like sand and gravel, orange concrete powder is subject to gravity and will fall if not supported by a solid block. When it comes into contact with water, either directly or by falling into it, the powder transforms into orange concrete—a solid, water- and gravity-resistant block. This conversion only occurs when the powder touches the sides or top of a water block or waterlogged block, not while falling through water.

When placed beneath a note block, orange concrete powder produces a snare drum sound, giving it niche use in redstone-based music systems.
