Sand

Sand is a gravity-affected block commonly found in deserts, beaches, and riverbeds. It generates in large quantities in ocean floors and near water bodies. When unsupported, sand falls until it reaches a solid surface. It is often used for crafting sandstone, TNT, and concrete powder, as well as for smelting glass.

Sand is crucial for cactus and sugar cane farming, and turtle eggs only hatch on sand. It can be obtained from wandering traders and is affected by physics-based mechanics such as suffocation and falling block entities. When placed under a note block, it produces a 'snare drum' sound.
