Chiseled Sulfur
Chiseled Sulfur is a decorative block belonging to the sulfur family, featuring a carved, chiseled pattern that sets it apart from its plainer counterparts. Its yellow map color gives it a warm, distinctive appearance, making it a popular choice for builders looking to add texture and detail to sulfur-themed structures.
Chiseled Sulfur can be obtained in a couple of ways. In a crafting grid, stacking two Sulfur Slabs vertically yields one Chiseled Sulfur. Alternatively, a stonecutter can convert a single Sulfur block directly into one Chiseled Sulfur, offering a more straightforward route. In Bedrock Edition, Polished Sulfur and Sulfur Bricks can also be fed into a stonecutter to produce Chiseled Sulfur, giving players extra flexibility with their materials. Since sulfur is itself a renewable resource, Chiseled Sulfur is considered renewable as well.
Mining Chiseled Sulfur requires any pickaxe — using the correct tool causes it to drop itself, while breaking it without a pickaxe yields nothing. It has a hardness of 1.5 and a blast resistance of 6, giving it moderate resilience against explosions. When placed beneath a note block, Chiseled Sulfur causes the note block to produce a Bass Drum sound, which may be of interest to players building note block contraptions or music machines.
Overall, Chiseled Sulfur serves as a purely decorative variant within the sulfur block set, well suited for detailing walls, floors, and architectural accents in any build that calls for a yellow stone aesthetic.
