Composter

The Composter is a utility block used to convert organic items into Bone Meal. It is crafted using 7 Wooden Slabs of any type in a 3×3 crafting grid and generates naturally in village farms, where it serves as the job site block for Farmer villagers. Players can add compostable items such as seeds, crops, plants, and food into the Composter to gradually fill it. When the Composter reaches its maximum level, it produces Bone Meal, which can be collected by interacting with it.

A Composter can be used in automated farms by placing a Hopper beneath it to collect Bone Meal automatically. It also interacts with Redstone Comparators, emitting a signal strength based on its fill level. A Composter can be mined with any tool, but axes break it the fastest. Unlike a Cauldron, a Composter does not store liquids but is essential for recycling organic materials and producing renewable Bone Meal.
