Soul Lantern

The Soul Lantern is a light-emitting block that provides dimmer lighting than a regular Lantern but repels Piglins in the Nether. It emits a light level of 10, making it less effective for mob-proofing compared to standard lanterns. A Soul Lantern is crafted using 1 Soul Torch and 8 Iron Nuggets in a 3×3 crafting grid. It also generates naturally in ancient cities.

A Soul Lantern can be placed on top of solid blocks or hung beneath blocks, making it a versatile decorative and functional light source. Its blue glow adds a unique aesthetic to Nether-themed builds, dark areas, and eerie environments. Additionally, it repels Piglins, making it useful for Piglin-proofing bases and Nether pathways. A Soul Lantern can be mined instantly by hand or with any tool. Unlike a Torch, a Soul Lantern offers a more decorative light source while serving as a Piglin deterrent in Nether biomes.
