The Exposed Copper Chest is a storage block crafted using 8 Copper Ingots surrounding a Chest in a 3×3 crafting grid. It functions similarly to a regular Chest but features unique oxidation behavior, gradually changing color through four stages — Unoxidized, Exposed, Weathered, and Oxidized. Players can prevent oxidation by applying Honeycomb to create a Waxed Exposed Copper Chest. It also generates naturally when summoning a Copper Golem, matching the oxidation level of the copper block used.

The Exposed Copper Chest can store 27 item stacks, and placing two side by side creates a Large Copper Chest with 54 slots. It can be opened unless obstructed by a conductive block, renamed using an Anvil, or locked with commands. While oxidation affects its color, it does not alter functionality. Copper Golems can interact with the Exposed Copper Chest by taking items from it and storing them in nearby Wooden Chests, enabling simple automation setups. Axes remove oxidation, and the chest requires a stone pickaxe or stronger to drop itself when mined.
