Bamboo

Bamboo is a fast-growing plant found primarily in jungles. It can be used for crafting scaffolding, bamboo wood, sticks, and as fuel but does not generate in sparse jungles.

Bamboo can be placed on grass, dirt, coarse dirt, rooted dirt, podzol, mycelium, moss, sand, gravel, suspicious sand, suspicious gravel, mud, and muddy mangrove roots. It grows up to 12–16 blocks tall and can be accelerated with bone meal. Bamboo can also be placed in flower pots.

Pandas eat bamboo and require it nearby to breed. Baby pandas grow faster when fed bamboo. Additionally, bamboo can be used as furnace fuel, smelting 0.25 items per piece. A block of bamboo can be crafted into bamboo planks for increased fuel efficiency. Bamboo can be composted with a 50% chance to raise the compost level, making it useful for farming and crafting.
