Tube Coral Block

Tube Coral Block is a vibrant decorative block found in warm ocean biomes. It’s one of five coral block types—alongside brain, bubble, fire, and horn—and appears bright blue when alive. Coral blocks are used primarily for underwater decoration and as part of sea pickle farming setups.

Tube coral blocks can only be obtained using a pickaxe enchanted with Silk Touch; otherwise, they drop their dead variant. They naturally generate in coral reefs, and can also be purchased from wandering traders for 3 emeralds each.

To keep a Tube Coral Block alive, at least one adjacent block must be water or waterlogged. If this condition isn’t met, it dries out and dies after a few seconds, turning into a gray dead Tube Coral Block. This transformation is irreversible. Tube coral blocks can also be placed beneath note blocks to produce 'bass drum' sounds, and are useful in sea pickle farms, where applying bone meal to sea pickles on coral spreads them across nearby live coral.
