Vines

Vines is a climbable vegetation block that grows on walls and can be used to craft mossy cobblestone, mossy stone bricks, and a Bordure Indented Banner Pattern. It generates naturally in jungles, swamps, mangrove swamps, and lush caves, as well as on trees and structures like jungle pyramids and woodland mansions.

Vines can be placed on solid block surfaces and spread over time in multiple directions. It can be climbed by holding the jump key or moving forward when a solid block is behind it. Vines slows movement, cancels sprints, and absorbs all fall damage, even without a surface nearby.

Vines can be collected with shears and does not grow when bone meal is applied. Wandering traders may sell it for one emerald. Additionally, placing Vines into a composter has a 50% chance of increasing the compost level, making it moderately effective for composting.
