Breach is a powerful mace enchantment in Minecraft that reduces enemy armor effectiveness by 15% per level, with a maximum level of 4. This combat-focused enchantment deals damage as though the target's armor provides 15 percentage points less protection per enchantment level, making it highly effective against heavily armored opponents.

Players can obtain Breach through enchanting tables, librarian villager trading, fishing, or finding enchanted books in ominous vaults and various structures. The enchantment works by reducing only the armor's base protection, not affecting enchantments like Protection or Resistance effects.

At maximum level (Breach IV), this enchantment reduces armor effectiveness by 60%, making it particularly valuable in PvP scenarios where opponents wear diamond or netherite armor. While less effective in singleplayer survival compared to Smite against undead mobs, Breach excels against armored players and certain mobs like closed-shell shulkers. The enchantment is incompatible with Density, Sharpness, Smite, and Bane of Arthropods.
