Piercing

Piercing

Piercing is a versatile crossbow enchantment in Minecraft that allows arrows to pass through multiple entities, enabling efficient crowd control and infinite arrow recovery for sustainable ranged combat. This penetration-focused enchantment hits up to level + 1 entities per shot, making it invaluable for mob farming and group combat scenarios.

Piercing arrows maintain their trajectory after hitting targets, passing through entities equal to the enchantment level while remaining collectible for reuse. This includes all arrow types: regular arrows, spectral arrows, and tipped arrows, providing infinite ammunition potential. The enchantment bypasses shields completely, ignoring blocking mechanics for guaranteed damage delivery.

Players can obtain Piercing through enchanting tables, librarian villager trades, fishing for enchanted books, raid drops in Bedrock Edition, and various structure loot sources. However, Piercing is incompatible with Multishot enchantment and doesn't affect firework rockets. The enchantment excels in linear combat situations, mob farms, and resource conservation, making it essential for players prioritizing ammunition efficiency and multi-target engagement capabilities.
