Birch Sapling

Birch saplings are tree saplings obtained by breaking or letting birch leaves decay. They have a 5% drop chance from leaves, and using a tool enchanted with Fortune increases the drop rate.

Birch saplings can be planted on dirt, grass, podzol, or moss blocks and will grow into a birch tree when exposed to sufficient light. Applying bone meal speeds up their growth. Birch trees grow with a consistent height and shape, making them ideal for controlled tree farms.

Birch trees are a reliable source of birch logs, which have a pale color used in building and crafting. Unlike oak trees, birch trees do not grow with large, irregular branches, making them easier to harvest. Due to their uniform growth pattern and efficient wood yield, birch saplings are often used in structured tree farms for quick wood collection.
