Wheat Seeds

Wheat seeds are a crop item obtained by breaking grass or wheat crops. They have a chance to drop when breaking tall grass, and fully grown wheat always drops seeds when harvested.

Wheat seeds are used to plant wheat by placing them on tilled farmland, where they grow through eight stages before becoming fully mature. Applying bone meal accelerates their growth. Fully grown wheat drops wheat and additional seeds, making wheat farming a renewable process.

In addition to farming, wheat seeds can be used to breed chickens, lure chickens, and trade with novice-level farmer villagers for emeralds. Due to their accessibility and multiple uses, wheat seeds are one of the most common and versatile crops in Minecraft.
