Farmer

The Farmer is a villager profession in Minecraft that specializes in trading food and crop-related items. It uses the Composter as its job site block, which allows unemployed villagers to take on the profession when placed nearby.

Trades include wheat, carrots, potatoes, and beetroot, as well as food items like bread, cookies, pumpkin pie, and golden carrots, making them a useful source of renewable food and ingredients. At higher levels, Farmers also trade for glistering melons, which are used in potion brewing.

They progress through five levels—Novice, Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert, and Master—unlocking better trades as they gain experience. They can be leveled up by trading emeralds, wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroot, pumpkins, and melons.

Farmers can be zombified and cured to reduce trade costs, making them useful in trading halls. They spawn naturally in villages but can also be assigned the profession by placing a Composter near an unemployed villager.
